Israeli pianist Alexandra Segal is a first prize winner of national and international competitions. She has given concerts in Israel, USA and across Europe, including live TV and radio performances.
Alexandra is a prize winner of piano competitions such as: II prize at WPTA International Piano Competition (2019), I prize at "Piano Forever" Piano Competition (2017, Israel), I prize at Arianne Katcz Piano Competition (2017, Israel), I prize at Pnina Salzman Piano Competition for Young Pianists (2017, Israel), III prize at Riga International Piano Competition (2012, Latvia), I prize at “Crimean Spring” International Piano Competition (2010 , Ukraine).
She has performed as a soloist with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Haifa Symphony Orchestra, Kiev Chamber Orchestra, Donetsk Philarmonic Orchestra, Raanana Symphonette Orchestra and the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music Symphony Orchestra and has worked with conductors such as Vag Papian, Avi Ostrowsky, Yoav Talmi and more.
Alexandra took part in international piano courses and festivals, among them “Israel Festival”, “Tel Hai International Piano Masterclasses”, “Miami Piano Festival Academy” and “Bieszczady bez granic” International Piano Forum with renowned musicians such as Michel Beroff, Murray Perahia, Andrzej Jasinski, Meng-Chieh Liu and others.
Alexandra started her piano studies at the age of six with prof. Natalie Tolpygo in Kiev. She completed her Bachelor degree at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, in the studio of prof. Tomer Lev. She is currently studying towards her Master degree at the University of Music Franz Liszt in Weimar, Germany with prof. Balazs Szokolay.
Alexandra is a grant holder of the prestigious America – Israel Cultural Foundation.
